贵阳学院外国语学院源于贵阳学院外语系和大学外语教学部， 是为贵州省和贵阳市培养外语人才的主要基地。其历史悠久，文化积淀厚重。坚持以培养高质量应用型外语人才为目标，为社会经济发展输送了大批具有坚实专业学科知识、综合素质高的优秀外语人才。现设有英语本科专业、日语本科专业、旅游英语专科专业、自学考试英语翻译本科专业；同时，负责全校非英语专业本科生、专科生的大学英语教学。 m8+2uB7-4Sd83b
学院现有教职工53人，其中专任教师46人；现有教授3人、副教授28人、讲师14人、助教1人；博士3人、在读博士1人，硕士研究生以上学历的教师占教师总数的63％。每年分别有4--5名来自英国、美国、澳大利亚、新西兰等国的外籍教师在我院任教。近年来，发表学术论文165余篇，出版学术专著及教材6部；承担国家级项目1项，省部级项目3项，教育厅项目7项。 c4;6xj3-3tk3?1H
学院拥有独立的教学楼，教学设施先进完善。专业英语主要开设课程为：综合英语、英语听力、英语口语、英语阅读、英语写作、英语国家文化、英美文学、英汉/汉英翻译、英语口译、语言学概论、英语教学法、学术论文写作等，同时开设日语和西班牙语作为第二外语课程。此外，非英语专业开设的“大学英语”课程实行分级教学，通过设置A、B、C三个不同的层次班级，使不同起点的非英语专业学生能有较好的英语学习切入点，最大程度地提高各自的英语水平。 f7+1Mg1:8qM9=1S

The School of Foreign Languages (SFL) at Guiyang University is derived from the Foreign Languages Department of Guiyang University. It is one of the main bases for cultivating foreign language personnel at both the Guizhou provincial level and the Guiyang municipal level. SFL has a unique culture and a long history. With a goal of “cultivating high-quality foreign language personnel in an application-oriented context”, SFL has produced many excellent foreign language personnel with solid professional knowledge and comprehensive skills, who make great contributions to the development of the local society and economy. Presently, SFL offers English, Japanese, Tourism English and English Translation as majors, and is also in charge of the College English course for non-English majors. I89gM1.,OB8?8k
Currently, there are 53 staff members, among whom 46 are professional teachers, including three professors, 28 associate professors, and 14 lecturers. Three of them hold a doctoral degree, another is a Ph.D Candidate, and 63% of them have a Master’s degree. International teachers come to the SFL every year from countries such as the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, and Ukraine. In recent years, SFL have published more than 165 academic papers in professional journals, published six academic monographs and textbooks, shouldered one national-level research program and three provincial-level social science programs, as well as seven research programs sponsored by the Department of Education of Guizhou Province. The project, Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, was given the university-level key discipline award, and the Comprehensive English Teaching Team was also made a provincial-level project for Elite Courses and Quality Courses. q4=2ro2.1HA3.9c
SFL is located in the “Yifu Teaching Building”, which is very beautiful and has advanced teaching and research equipment. SFL offers numerous courses including English Pronunciation, English Listening, Oral English, English Reading, English Grammar, Comprehensive English Course, English Writing, Culture of English-speaking Countries, British and American Literature, Translation between English and Chinese, Interpretation between English and Chinese, Linguistics, and Research Paper Writing. SFL also offers Japanese and Spanish for undergraduates as second foreign languages. In addition, the teaching of the College English course for non-English majors is divided into classes by level.
