Jiangsu Intellectual Property Research Center (JIPRC) is established in September 2008, is a provincial research institute cofound by the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province and Jiangsu University. It is the first scientific research institution specializing in intellectual property theory and application research in Jiangsu. Relying on comprehensive university advantages and the research foundation on intellectual property in Jiangsu University, JIPRC strives to build an intellectual property research and exchange platform with influence both at home and abroad and an important think-tank for government decision-making through in-depth academic research, theory discussion and consulting service, etc. x4~2ER3+8UZ9+,A
Consultative Committee is set up and a group of famous intellectual property experts and scholars are employed as consultants, including Professor Chen Meizhang of Peking University, Udo·Altenburg of Bardehle Pagenberg Germany, etc. Relying on Jiangsu University, JIPRC gathers intellectual property talents from inside and outside Jiangsu and employs a group of well-known experts as part-time researchers, including Mao Jinsheng, Director of Intellectual Property Development & Research Center of CNIPA, Professor Shan Xiaoguang of Tongji University, etc. At present, there are 21 full-time and part-time researchers, including 8 professors and 6 associate professors at JIPRC. JIPRC has set up Intellectual Property Strategy Research Office, Intellectual Property Management Research Office, Intellectual Property Information Research Office and other institutions, initially forming a research team with interdisciplinary background in law, management, economics, engineering and other disciplines. Based on the theoretical research and practical guidance of intellectual property, JIPRC pays special attention to the research on topics such as intellectual property strategy, intellectual property and technological innovation, economic analysis of intellectual property, enterprise intellectual property management and intellectual property information utilization and so on. Since its establishment, JIPRC has led and undertaken nearly 10 national and provincial level research projects, financed by Ministry of Science and Technology, China National Intellectual Property Administration and Patent Re-Examination Committee etc., and 14 enterprise consulting projects besides. In January 2009, the first enterprise intellectual property management standard, DB32/T1204-2008, developed by JIPRC, was promoted by 8 departments of Jiangsu Province in the whole province. In February 2009, the key research project of "Research on Intellectual Property Review Mechanism of Major Economic Activities", financed by CNIPA and hosted by JIPRC, was highly appraised by evaluation experts, whose relevant research results have been applied in the review practice of science and technology projects in Jiangsu Province. c6-1pL7=5MW1+9u
JIPRC focuses on constructing service system, sharing practical experience and highlighting practical features for the development of enterprises intellectual property. In recent years, JIPRC has organized and conducted a series of consulting and training services, such as providing service on the construction and operation of enterprise intellectual property management system, organizing classified training and personality counselling on the Enterprise Intellectual Property Management standard, providing diagnostic consulting and certification service on enterprise intellectual property management system and planning service of enterprise intellectual property strategic management, and so on. At the same time, JIPRC works closely with the local governments of Suzhou, Zhenjiang, Yangzhou in Jiangsu Province and Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province, aiming to jointly organize the formulation of regional intellectual property strategy and assist the local governments to accelerate the implementation of the national intellectual property strategy requirements. h2:9yt6~1kL7?60
Training high-level talents is one of the main tasks of JIPRC. At present, there are courses on intellectual property for undergraduates and graduate students, and also Master Degree Programs and Doctoral Degree Programs on intellectual property.
