The Center for Language Education (CLE) of Southern University of Science and Technology was officially established in November, 2015. As a teaching-oriented unit of the university, the main function of the CLE is to serve the cultivation of talents at all levels. We train students to develop English language skills, help them adapt to English teaching environment, make English a tool for them to obtain professional thinking, and meet the needs of academic communication in English. In addition to teaching, the CLE undertakes the task of building the language competence of faculty and staff and contributes to the internationalization of the university. At the same time, the CLE also aims at creating an international campus atmosphere, providing a friendly and inclusive living, learning, and working environment for international students and scholars.
